04 Rx8 new fuel pump and line wont start
#26
Saucey I am in Mesa...
danobre, thanks for the info I have been cranking witht the ESS plugged in, pretty much dry now
another question Where is the ESS plug? sorry I am brand new to these cars.
Also once I ge the plugs back in, should I crank with the fuel pump fuse out for a few times, I have read in the forums, that can help at first to avoid flooding.

Removing the fuel pump fuse will work OK too..
Just want to make sure you don't add any more fuel...I like the ESS plug because it cuts both ignition and fuel...plug is on the drivers side of the main pulley....reads off the notched trigger wheel you can see there..
Putting the Accel pedal to the floor cuts fuel when restarting...so I would do that till it burbs a bit..and then release it and modulate the gas till it stays running on its own. Don't be afraid to rev it to 2-3K until it will idle on it's own
