Wrong oil @ dealership????

well I find it rather incredulous that after all the previous model year supplements that they would not specifically state this in the OM (not even for 2005) if it were indeed true. SInce it's not stated on the OM they can never force a claim against you for it ... but I choose to run Castrol 5W20 GTX myself, readily available and low cost

so, what oil are we suppose to put? I had my oil change @3000 irvine mazda and they said not to put synthetic oil because the rotary engines dont burn, So someone please help

When i bought my car last year april04 they had me sign a letter saying not to use synt.oil and the letter goes into my file. So i was advise not to use it!!!!!!!!!!!!

all i know is on the rx7 it was far from good to use synthetic and i figure it is the same for this rotorary.

you have to think...oil is to burn in this engine not to lubricate.
