Where and What brand are you getting for your new oil filter?

So i was wondering where everyone is buying their oil filters from...
Is everyone using the oem oil filter?
If so, how much are you paying for them and where?
If not, well same question.
and just another question, where is everyone buying their oil?
id prefer gtx but seems they never go down in price.would like to get a case...but cant find anywhere with decent prices.

I use PureOne when I run out of OEMs that I order through Mazda Motorsports for dirt cheap. Re: oil, I only use Havoline 5W-30 with maybe a dash of Royal Purple for good measure. Always used Havoline ($11/5qt jug at Walmart) but the choice got easier when Murray's Auto Parts cleared it out for $1/qt! I bought everything.

I use Fram filters because they are readily available but prefer to use OEM.

I have been using Fram on and off for more than 13 years and I have yet to see a failure in person.

The OEM seems to be a very well-made unit, and can be had at a great price, not much more than 1/3 the cost of a Mobil1 filter, for example.

Here's a picture of one that I had sitting around waiting for recycle, that I cut (tore) open. I was speculating that it might fit on a Subaru -- they recently changed their filter from a similar construction to one that is more Fram-like.

I get mine from finishlineperformance.com (Rosenthal Mazda). They have graciously hosted the RX-8 TSBs for years and deserve some patronage, imo.

^+1. That's a good deal!

I hate that we only have Schunks/Skunks around here. No competition =crappy selection and high prices.
