The big problem is that the insert sleeve doesn't fit all that tight in the port. Since most of the gasses are directed down the runners that little spot is fairly insignificant. The goal of the small wall inside the siamesed port is so that the gasses from one chamber don't directly blast the side seals of the other rotor. Removing wall won't change performance at all but will increase the heat hitting the other rotor. Don't worry about that small spot. It's not a problem. It's just a horrible design from the factory.
