no no no no no no , no synthetics are safe for rotary , cuz Mazda said so !

who cares if Mazda race with Idemitsu ! who cares if tons of ppl use synthetics without any problems !

As long as Mazda does not recommend they are no good ! Even aftermarket mineral oil no good ! because they are aftermarket and Mazda does not recommend Aftermarket products ! they're all no good

Only Mazda good ! Use Mazda oil, Mazda parts, Mazda garage(dealerships) ! No where else !

Maybe I should try some Idemitsu next time !

Damn so many oil ... redline, rp , amsoil, idemitsu .... Which one should I go next

To OP : Just use whatever you want, it doesnt really matter as long as its good oil

Stated there RE spec, for rotary engine . Let me source out how much I need to pay for changing the seals 1st, then decide if gonna give Castrol Edge 10w 60 a try

why would you need a 60 weight oil?

Changing the seals? Apex seal or wut ?

If Apex Seals. That means you have to pay for

Take the tranny down
Take the Engine down
Open the engine
Replace the parts u need
Put it back all together

my dealership actually puts syn in my car.. which i'm glad, since that's all I would use anyway

It can withstand higher temperature and punishment. Pass BMW M series requirement. Regarding the weight, I have no idea. According to the URL below, the 60 is the grade of the oil for hot temperature.

If it is too heavy after change, then change to other oil.
