Yeah i wanted to do a search but i had no idea where to start so i browsed but found nothing. Sometimes when i'm driving out of nowhere my hand brake light, the abs light, and the traction control light will come on and then the brake is shakey. It scares the living **** out of me and the only way to stop it is to pull over, turn off the car, then turn it back on. It happened a while ago and then went away. But it happened twice last friday and on the freeway no less. Totally uncool. I took my car in to the dealership and asked them what the hell is going on and of course i get the blank stare and bewilderment. Unless you tell them what to fix they dont' know anything. So pleeeeease i'm begging you guys to help me out here.. thanks in advance

 

According to the service manual the DSC light and/or brake system warning light and/or DSC light and/or DSC OFF light will illuminate if there is an electrical problem with the system and a trouble code will be stored (that they can read with their diagnostic system, WDS). If there is no code stored then the problem could be a "temporary poor connection of the wiring harness".

Find another dealer, or ring MNAO - IANAL but blatent ignorance of a potential safety problem could land them in deep trouble.

 

I had exactly the same thing. I would not drive the car in this state. The explanation I found was that all the electronic safety systems in the car are not working.

The ABS pump in my car failed. They replaced it.
