What Bearings are in the auto trans?
Ok so i paid 3k for trans rebuild.
Long story short they used wrong fluid and it only lasted about 200 miles,
then it would slip like crazy ion 1st gear going to 2nd.
basically stay slipping for like 10 seconds really bad until it shifted.
all other gears were decent.
So Towed it back and they said some bearing or bearings broke and messed some other stuff up.
I am curious to no what bearings are in the trans?
which 1 most likely broke?
would a bad bearing cause the slipping?
i am just trying to verify the shop's story and make sure i am not getting dicked around.
Thanks for future replies.

Bearings would not cause transmission slippage. Also, a bad bearing makes noise. I doubt the wrong transmission fluid would ruin bearings in only 200 miles. But, the wrong fluid can cause the clutch packs to slip, and can also damage seals in the valve body which would affect or disable shifting.
It sounds like they don't know what they are doing or what they are talking about.

The sun gears are part of the Planetary Gearset. I'm sure if you do a search for that, you can find plenty of information.
Look it up where? I can't seem to find a source.
And btw... No car is immune to a sh*tty trans rebuild. Can't blame the car for that.

the 70% came out of your *** so no nobody wants to look at ur ***.
one thing I'm 100% sure is that you're nothing but a complete moron. 3K to rebuild the tran when it cost 3.5K for a new one. so any thing you said automatically becomes 100% bullshit
LOL! you FAILED

All of Auto Trans Bearings are Needle Roller type not Ball Bearing.
Frankly. if you recently had a re-build and they say bearings have seized, crushed or 'broken' and they used the wrong ATF, I would be very annoyed.
Possibly the wrong pre-load (you call it back lash, I think) tolerances during reassembly of clutch packs/plates would put strain or crush the Needle Rollers to a breaking or seizing point.
If they are Auto Trans Specialists I would expect better, here I would not use anyone but a long standing Auto Trans Specialist..I have seen so many back yard or tune shops stuff up AT's.

Got to agree with Pete...sounds like they don't know what they are doing...or someone has their 'wires crossed'?..
Generally the AT's Mazda use are very reliable, might get a little clunky (change) with age, but pretty (very) good.
