Does my clutch need replaced?

Hello everyone, I've been following the forum for some time but this is my first post.

I took my 04 RX8 into my local Mazda dealer for compression test last week because it felt like it had been losing power for the last 5000 miles or so. The engined failed the test so Mazda is replacing it under warranty.

Rotor 1 262 rpms 7.5, 7.4, 7.3
Rotor 2 258 rpms 6.6, 6.7, 5.6

They recommended replacing all of the coils, plugs and wires, which I agreed probably needed to be done anyways.

They then went on to ask if I wanted to replace the clutch. Keep in mind, they didnt say I needed the parts, they simply said with the milage the car had, it may not be a bad idea to replace them while the engine is already out..to save money on labor down the road. They also said the work would be done labor free.

Here's the parts list.

clutch plate disc
pressure plate
throwout bearing
pilot bearing
seal and misc shop supplies
TOTAL = $706

I'm not a mechanic so here's where I need some advice. The car has 81000 miles on it but the clutch feels fine to me. Is it a good idea to replace any of the clutch parts listed above now versus down the road?

If u have money to spend why not. But u can good a better clutch for 450 or less. Most shops charge 300 to replace a clutch I would upgrade it for that much

i would say replace it, at least get an aftermarket throwout bearing for the clutch. the OE throwout is quite cheaply constructed.
