i have seen that problem before in PinkFlea's 8. if she let the engine idle it would die. it was ok if we were already moving but it kinda sucked at stop lights she had to keep revving. she said she needed new plugs, wires and coils. maybe you can send her a PM and ask her about it.

Your powertrain warranty is 6/60. I would have it towed to the dealer where I bought and see what they can do, if you can't find someone nearby who knows anything about 8s. That sounds different than the catalytic converter getting fubbard up... Did you properly maintain it?

Properly maintained. This problem seems to be throwing mechanics for a loop though. I think next time I drive out of town I'll have one of my mechanics come along to experience my prob firsthand. Buy him an Egg McMuffin and a can of Budweiser and he'll do anything. I PMd pinkflea and have not heard back, but am anxious to. Thanks for all your help. I even went into the Click and Clack site and posted the same question there. I really have to get this issue cleared up. It's been long-standing and driving me crazy.

The engine warranty has been extended to 8 years 100k.
Covers housings, rotors, internal seals.

you should have taken care of this when you first made this thread. but it doesnt matter, your engine is covered.

did you get a compression check yet? i think it would be beneficial if you did.

I agree, your engine is covered under warrenty still, get it towed to the dealer and get it fixed, then be happy
