well, remember the 4 stroke combustion cycle- its the same. intake, compression, combustion, exhaust

First of all the rotary would be a 3.9 liter, 6 cylinder engine. It would be a 6 stroke. Each cylinder would be 6.54" across (damn big piston!) but the stroke length would only be 1.18" in length peak to peak.
