I've used WW before my coolant flush. I've never noticed any sludge or anything. Since this thread and a coolant flush I prolly won't use it anymore.

My car is in for 30K servicing today and am having them put WW in. The show owner, a Mazda rotary specialist, said they use it. He's a pretty up front guy so if it was bad, I'm sure he would have said something.

He also recommends sticking to 10W oils and thinks 5W is pretty thin for cars that have passed the early miles period. So giving 10W-30 a shot.

The SF Bay Area rarely sees anything approaching 32F even in the dead of winter. The average low in the coldest month of December is like 41F in my area. I did get like 60/40 water - coolant mix. Just in case I take the car to the Sierras or have a really cold snap.

I'm tempted to use synthetic...we'll see.

it's all snake oil, don't put any of them in your radiator, if you want to throw money away I can give you my mailing address, in return I'll send you a letter telling you how much better your car will run as a result of your generosity, I'm an expert on these things so you know it's good ....

I've used 2 or 3 bottles. I've noticed my resvoir has a reddish brown color. Not using this anymore for sure.
