Hi there,

Situation:
I brought my 8 for a oil change recently (Saturday), and the new tech guy noted that my transmission fluid is leaking. This is the second time within 12 months; my first replacement happened, was Dec 2011 of last year. Back then, I had my engine rebuilt (failed engine compression test), and had the transmission fluid leak assessed and gasket replaced by another tech guy (the tech guy who groom this new tech guy). Today, I brought my 8 in for a tear down and further inspection on the transmission, and it was found that the same failing parts re-occur. (Gasket connecting the case or something like that). It had to be ordered, and I can only get back my car on Thursday.

Is it possible that this gasket is really weak? or a manufacturer defect? Anyone has any transmission leak before?
