it's referenced at the bottom of this thread swoope... come to think of it (whole new old new can of worms) I was running audiolink back when I was having tpms problems.
Come to think of it I haven't had a single TPMS issue (but I've made a ton of changes over the past year) since around the same time I pulled my audiolink and went full blown carpc with the grom car2pc adapter.
With that said, anyone want an audiolink?

aahhhh dammit, got a flat the other day, ended up buying two new rear tires and Discount Tire broke one of my TPMS sensors to where it was over-torqued and leaking out like mad. They paid for a new one and installed it, but I never saw it with my own eyes). I did all the usual tricks (except disconnect the battery) according to the manual, and I am still getting the blinking TPMS light after 10 min. of driving. It's a long shot, but is there a chance that Discount bought a new version sensor that is not compatible with the old receiver? I know according to this thread (https://www.rx8club.com/series-ii-technical-trouble-shooting-160/series-ii-mazda-oe-parts-number-listings-complete-188306/) that Mazda revised the TPMS hardware. Maybe the new sensors are not backwards compatible? Maybe the pressure range alarm is different than the old ones? Maybe Discount F'd up the other rear sensor too? All tires are 39-40 PSIG hot. Never had a problem in the past, 2005 model year car. This is a blinking alarm after 10 minutes, so I don't think this is an actual pressure related problem anyways, but a sensor/receiver malfunction code. Any ideas?

UPDATE:
Took the car into Discount, and they ran the diagnostics on each sensor, and it looks like one of my predictions above was true, that they messed up the other rear sensor during the new tire installation. Discount wants $70 each for a new sensor (they are not replacing this one for free apparently). I found a new one on eBay for $31 shipped. It is the new style, like the one they just installed on the other side of the car. Will report back again once it is installed.
