i just bought my 8 the other day, FINALLY. Just one question, what is the top speed on the manual GT?

 

I can't get past 138 in 6th ... forum members say you need to be in 5th and may get a few more.

a few more? more like quite a bit more. The car doesnt have enough power to get over the drag in 6th gear. 6th gear is for overdrive, should only be used to cruise in. If you trying to go faster, dont go any higher than 5th.

I did right around 152 a little over 9k rpm i belive. The car gets up to about 130 pretty fast, and doesnt take much longer to get to toped out in 5th. If you shift into 6th at top speed in 5th, you will slow down.

On lvl straight road, I went from a standing start to top speed in fifth in right around a mile. Pretty good for a 3000lb car with 200hp, lol

 

On a dyno the car was shown to hit 184mph...I think. There is a video of that on the site someplace.

 

... oh sure. But the dyno has less drag.
