Thinking of buying this, worth fixing anyone?
My friend has this car, the one I am planning on buying. The title is salvage right now and can go to rebuilt when it's finished. The kid will sell the car to me for $6,500, its stick, 40k miles. Is this work fixing? Can you guys give me a list of parts I may need? I can obviously see things like fenders bumper, hood, but how about engine parts and such? It's drivable, the frame is fine, and he is giving me all the parts I supposedly need.
I thought it would fit here better than the exterior forum.

Your friend must be a dealer? looks like the pics are from auction, or online auction.
It is very hard to sell one of these with a salvage title, especially since it has 40k and is an auto. Your airbags are 1000 (ur probally gonna need belts), it looks like your bumper rebar is shifted to the left cost about 100, right headlight is a good buy on ebay, the hood and fender are best left bought at your local dealer if you can get a discount. I think the fender is about 110 and the hood is about 325 after a 25% discount.
The front innerstructer is like tin foil. The radiator support runs about 200 after discounts new at dealer and the right apron is best purchased salvage like a mazmart in GA.
Bottom line. 40K-Auto-Salvage brings the value down on this car quick. Don't buy thinking you will make a lot

You said its stick but I see Auto Transmission inside ?
what sup with that ?
Its pretty hard to sell them like this, its auto, has 40 K miles, 04, and has a salvage title, and all airbags has been deployed.
If I were you I will not even get close to this thing.
if u ask me I pay no more than 2.5K for this thing including tax and stuff. Cuz it salvage title so it has no value already.
but I cant/wont buy it, cuz its Auto. I cant reuse 1/2 of its parts for my MT.

Do you want to do this as a hobby project, for the fun/experience of bringing back a wreck? If so, have fun. If you expect it to make economic sense, that's a real long shot.
