Search...it is likely the CAN bus connector in the coolant overflow bottle area......

Easy fix.......if it isn't that one then it can be the connector under the ECU where it goes into the module

yeah search around and you will find but if it's not a connector it is a problem somewhere in the electronic steering

Announcment:The First Rx8 2jz ready to go

Announcment:

The World First Rx8 2jz
is Ready to go in Kuwait

Today i would like to present the first rx8 Swap engine project in Kuwait. In 17th October 2008 which is my birthday i though about doing something crazy and suddenly i came up with the idea of swapping my rx8 engine into 2jz no matter or fact no one of ma close friendz belived my idea and they where like are you crazy bla bla bla. However i have decided to go one with the project so i pulled out the rotary engine and i bought the 2jz engine and here is the adventure and the suffering come now i have to find some body to fit it in and i have to change the whole intire system of the car wow that was so excitied i donot wanna go in details but the project took 10 month from me since i was really busy with my work and study to follow the project and the parts was not easy to find too but at the end i came up with something so unique and powerfull. It doesnot matter how much you suffer since at the end of suffering you will gain a positive result it is really expensive project too which exceed 16000 $ . Please critic stay away and donot play the smart *** and say why donot you buy supra instead of bla bla bla... well thatz wht am taking about it is the "adventure and fun" i donot wanna pay money for climping or jumping from jet since my hoppy is car modification so i will pay for it to enjoy it.

This will be pretty big news for quite a few people. I suggest you make a separate thread in either Major Horsepower Upgrades or RX-8 Discussion. It will get lost here. I took the liberty of cleaning up your post a bit so that it is more readable (in the quote below). No offense intended with it.

My heart breaks to see a rotary engine piled in a wheel barrow like that.

Gratz on the accomplishment though.

I don't get people that post their projects and then tell others to not critisize them. I mean, this is an internet message board, what do you think happens? If you just want people to say "oh cool" and "awesome" and stroke your ego, perhaps show it only to friends and family. In the end, if you think your project is good, that's generally all that matters.

Unless you're the guy that's turboing his Eclipse and cutting diamond formations into the head...

I think he was just warding off certain types of critics. The ones who say "That made no econonomc sense," or "Why didn't you buy xxx instead."

I'll join the critics who hate seeing a Renesis dumped into a wheelbarrow. It should be bronzed and put on display. Or maybe turned into a coffee table base, like they do with retired F1 engine blocks.

Other than that...very cool. I'd enjoy seeing more details on how it was done and how it worked out.

Ken
