Stuff fail in to the gap between parking brake....

A ring fail into the gap between the parking brake.
I removed the plastic trim but didn't find it.

I think it went straight down very deep.
I can't see the ring but I think it is in there.

Does anyone know how to access that area?
Hopefully, I don't have to tear everything apart.

Thanks,
Tony

If you take the center trim out there is more room to access the little "well" under the brake lever.
