My girlfriend has notice a strange smell from the engine compartment since the weather change. I have noticed it aswell it doesn't smell like sulfur, its kinda like plastice burning just wondering if any body else has noticed it or knows what it could be.

 

rat in your air duct?? happened before..

 

hahaha, I have the same smell these days, I don't know what it is, but its not doing anything to my car................... my guesses are (GUESSES PEOPLE GUESSES)
1. coil heating up
2. sparkplugs heating up
3. tranny oil

 

^^or maybe fuel leak damaged silicone lines...

Did road litter, like a plastic bag, get snagged under the car? There have been a few posts here about a burning plastic smell that was caused by a burning plastic bag stuck to the cat.

When i put on my hymee screens i found a plastic bag wedged up almost behind the radiator.

 

Now I know where I put that Fish! lol
