Okay so I recently blew up my clutch but I have an rx8 clutch laying around for some reason, the PP is good and I plan on using it but is this normal?


I can bounce those springs around with my fingers, its like a tambourine.

the disc measures 7.1mm

For those who have done an S1 clutch job, is this normal? I'd like to put it in but I don't want to hear it chatter quite a lot

its going into FC rx7 with turbo drivetrain, clutch is all the same

 

No, that is not normal at all. The springs should be tight. Don't use that disc.

 

Thats what I thought, I got an extra t2 disc with .5mm more meat on it too but the stock rx8 PP is in great shape, gonna mix and match, springs are nice and tight.
