Speed senor

I am getting a Yellow Box but I need to know,

Does our 8 have a 3-wire hall-effect type speed sensor or a 2-wire inductor type speed sensor??

I think that wiring schematic is only for an auto tranny though.

No, it's inductive. It has 2 pins.
I'm talking about the engine speed sensor, also called excentric shaft position sensor. Team, the schematics you posted shows the vehicle speed sensor.

So, the Speed Sensor is a 3-wire hall-effect type speed sensor, correct?

Do you want to know what type of sensor it is or just where you can tap a speedo wire?

What I posted earlier is for the vehicle speed sensor (mph/kph) regardless of transmission type:





According to the diagram it has three wires; power, ground, signal output. I don't know for sure what type it is though.
