Sohn Adapter & Premix Questions

I understand that the RX8 OMP injects oil into the engine, this oil would be warm from the heat supplied by the engine.

Living in a cold climate, I wonder if the oil contained within the reservoir would be too cold to be safely injected. Would it matter? Just currently debating whether to go through with the Sohn adapter or not.

I also have a question regarding premix. Is it better to run dino or synthetic two stroke in the gasoline?

that simply means you did not do your homework "long" enough.

Go back and re-do it.

I gather you are saying that the oil temperature would not matter in the combustion process?

I think that you would get decent oil flow to the pump at -20 C even.....won`t be worse than the engine oil at startup anyway. I would likely just pre-mix a bit more in winter to cover the potential for less oil when really cold

Unless u use some 10+ weight oil under -15 degrees condition. you have nothing really to worry about.

Research your car more and you will know OMP is a BIG compromise in the first place.
