Umm.. sorry if it's already been mention in this thread, but 40 or pages is a lot to sieve thru.
Does this tool come in a version that runs on a pocketpc???
Just think it would be cool to have it run on my XDAII mini especially if it links via bluetooth

LittleJohn,

A Pocket PC version is currently under development. The interface connects via direct serial link. You could connect a bluetooth to serial adapter to the interface and use that to enable bluetooth. This is not a scenario we have tested, but if you want give it a go we will support you as best we can.

Cheers

Sco, I'll take you up on that

Direct serial link??? how many PocketPCs have a serial port??? I thought most the new ones were USB

OK, now I see what you were saying.

I think this is a limitation of the OEM WBO2 sensor on our cars. If I remember correctly, the sensor can only read values down to 12.1 AFR. The CAN bus simply won't show anything lower than that. Since the readout is in Lambda, what is the conversion to AFR? Is it (Lambda)*(14.63)=AFR?

Hymee,
Somewhere in the posts I read of a "tuner version" What is different about that? Are you building in the knock retard sensor so we can tune right up to the limit?

Thanks - My order is in LA right now, so I'm getting closer to owning one

something doesn't seem right if your bearly reaching a .75 lambda (~11.0 a/f ratio)... I know these things run rich, but not that rich

Oh yes they do!!! In order to keep catalyst temps under 960°C!
I've seen production engines running as rich as 9.5 AFR when I was at Ford, athough it was due to a calibration error. The calibrator was actually targeting 10.5 AFR!

ok, I can see if your severly overheating the cat it will richen up that much. But under normal conditions (like taka i believe is talking about) there is something wrong if he is bearly showing 11.0 a/f ratio - my car was right around 12.6:1 at WOT

Knock retard will is one of the Mazda proprietary parameters and will be available when we release the version including those parameters.

The features set for a tuner edition and a release date aren't set at the moment.

Great. Most Pocket PCs have support for both serial and USB and I'm sure there are serial cables for the mini. I actually have an iMate JAM which I use day to day (which is the same hardware that O2 rebrands to the XDAII mini) .... so you can be pretty confident that we'll be getting it working on that device.

Cheers

Are you going to start a new thread for support? Or should we e-mail you off the website?

I have everything installed, and when I go to connect, I get an "Access Denied" dialog box. Any clues? Thanks in advance.

Please email support@hymee.com - that will get you the quickest responses.

It sounds like something else is holding the serial port open. You're not running ActiveSync are you? If so, check if it's listening on the com port you're using and if so, turn it off.

I was talking of normal conditions, 3rd or 4th gear acceleration, WOT. See attachment.

Can't provide a report yet, but will soon.

Received mine today, took 10 days after order via the "Standard" slow snail mail option.

My probem is with my Belkin USB adaptor we think. I can get it working, and it is awesome with the Live gauges on the screen. I highly recommend owning a copy. :D

We take support issues very seriously and I'm pretty sure we have responded to all emails either same day or next day (and next day has been mostly due to timezone differences).

I don't think it's appropriate to discuss individual support cases publicly. We've had a number of support emails, all but one person has had their issues resolved quickly, and that person has been patiently assisting us to work through to identify the cause of and resolve their issues. I have one other open case with connectivity issues and we're working to identify the cause at the moment.

I hope everyone that has used support so far has been happy with the response. If you're not we'd appreciate your feedback on how we could be better - email us at support@hymee.com.
