And Injector Pulse Width is not a defined PID in the ODBII specification. Now if only I could get a hand on some specs for the Mazda/RX-8 "Manufacturer Specific" PIDs...

Cheers,
Hymee.

Ooooh, oooh...

I can log Injector Pulse Width with my TSI piggyback and its logging capabilities. That is because it is "hot wired" directly to the injector circuits.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Well I tried a scan line converter and the picture is even better but really I found with a good laptop video card and powerstrip I could tweak (I hate that word :p) the image to fit and look almost perfect...to bad the nice laptop isn't mine.

Well here are more pics to tease you all, enjoy!

FYI these are with the crap laptop + scan line converter and the close up shot I am not using a tripod or a flash...just holding still, it was difficult so sorry again for the slight blur!

Images look nice. Pitty the linear gauges automatically went verticle for that particular aspect ratio

(They self "configure" depending on the size, and they autosize to fit the screen.)

Cheers,
Hymee.

if I can figure out the true resolution of the nav monitor then I can correct that problem perfectly

right now it seems the only way to find out is count
but knowing me I'll probably do it, where is the maginifying glass?

OK enough is enough guys - I am ready to buy. You can post updates on the Hymee Web when you find tweaks - yikes I said it too!

PS: 35 degrees today? It's Spring time in the PNW, so be patient, it willl propogate across the US slowly....

But for now... A little hobby of mine

TM,

We have a way of allowing you to specify a file that contain the textual description of all the DTCs.

Have a look under Options. Sco and I have such a file, but we are unsure if we can publish it due to copyright reasons - just being cautious.

But you can use that text from the thread and roll you own. The format of the file is simple:

P0030 Front HO2S heater control circuit problem
P0031 Front HO2S heater control circuit low
P0032 Front HO2S heater control circuit high
P0037 Rear HO2S heater control circuit low
P0038 Rear HO2S heater control circuit high

DTC[space]Text

Pretty easy for you to grab the text from that thread and do it yourself. Then I guess we haven't broken any copyright.

Cheers,
Hymee.

TM, what laptop and associated hardware are you using to connect the scanalyser to the nav display?

that is a beautiful gadget I know that the .net in windows ce is a compact version that differs from the full .net framework 1.1 for windows XP. That Fujitsu unit is rather heavy though for something like that (2.2 lbs) the sharp MM series laptops are 2lbs w/battery and are larger in size.

That being said I don't think it is impossible :D

Another idea...a full windows XP system in the same size...also has a TV tuner and many other functions :

It is very nice until clicking to the price page...

I would rather have a set of suspension over this .... but I have to admit: it is bloody nice!

I want it I think Hymee should give us (the beta testers) one each as a thank you gift

I think he has his laptop connected to the AV Electronics S-Video switcher, which in turn is connected to the nav through the back of the Nav-DVD unit. Correct me if i'm wrong...

Nem is right

As for the current laptop model I am using it is a 700mhz 128MB Toshiba with a GeForce go card...it is not very good

I have had the best results with a Sharp MM-20...which is a Transmeta Efficeon Processor running at "1.2" gighertz I believe and 512ram..ATI mobile card

I have also used a Sharp MM-10 Transmeta Crusoe with a generic onboard video...and 256RAM

All using WIndows XP

I am really starting to think the ATI mobile cards are much more flexible and able to provide proper NTSC interlaced video...but neither ATI or Nvidia do well on video out

im using just a plain ibm thinkpad t20 running windows 2000 had to dowload the .net 1.1 framework. the good things about this laptop is that it had a serial port so no worries with connecting it and my dad paid for it it'd be nice to haver nav an rig it like mags has. another way i was thinking since i dont have nav is a small touch screen comp sitting in a tray in the same spot as the nav would be. if i had the money that is...
