They are likely made by Koito, the OEM supplier.

Found the link to the lights in Japan.

RX-8(SE3P)LED?????? ?????????? ?????? - Yahoo!?????? - ????!

Consider the price in YEN, conversion rate, shipping, shipping insurance and custom tax. $550USD seems like a good deal IF ONLY the part was from Japan.

I wanted to provide my perspective on these lights after installing them. They come with no instructions (not that it's really that difficult). The pair that I got had wires that were too short for the red LEDs so I had to extend them myself and I just used some butt connectors and shrink wrap to fix that problem but I saw that someone else had the same issue so if you do buy them be aware that you may need to extend the wires that connect together for the LEDs. They actually do extend enough to just barely connect out of the box but they end up sitting right across the seal and I wasn't comfortable with my wiring rubbing across metal. I am planning on getting them tinted to help correct the sort of altezza'ish look but other than that, they are great for the price.

If only they were exact copies of the S2 lights. There's something off with these lights. It doesn't look as good as genuine S2 tail lights. But yes, for the price, they are pretty darn good.

How did you manage to make them sit flush? From what I've read on here, they don't sit perfectly flush without an S2 bumper.

If you look closely, they're not flush with the bumper. They're extended out and down over the Series 1 bumper.
