that is what the first 2 OC looked like and they were both in the first 100miles.....this one is close to 450 -500 (sorry to lazy to go look at my odometer and do the math)
uhhhh, mechanical temperature gauges do not have fluids in the interior. Mechanical pressure gauges--do. You can buy a fluid isolator to place on the firewall but since the electrical gauges have gotten so good--there is really no need.
that looks like bigger particles than what I am used to seeing. I have a filter mag and when I cut the filter open it is more like a paste--you really cant see individual particles like that? IDK. Maybe its just because of the filter?
The way I see it the filter mag is better because of how low the drain plug is and the baffles that really restrict the flow in the bottom part of the pan. But a magnet is a magnet-all of them are good.
Does that stuff feel like paste? Probably does?

it is totally a paste, it wasn't even grainy when i rubbed it between my fingers.
I also have 4 neodymium magnets each 1" disc 3/16th think (something like 60lbs of pull all together)

so part of my plan was to do an oil filter relocation and that location is going to be next to my aem intake. I am the opportunity to beef up the filter type and have been looking at 13/16 filters like the M1-302. I have not really be able to find details other than it can take PSI upwards of 600#.

The M-1 Oil filter bypass valve is an 18 - 22 psi differential pressure relief valve that will provide sufficient oil flow should the media become plugged or clogged.

How about something without a Bypass rating like the Wix 51060R or the 51069R(shorter) Racing filters? We change our filters so often I doubt a bypass valve is needed.
