Hmm.

Ceramic ball bearing particles. Even if accurate, it seems like it would be a bit more like sand in your oil, only smaller.

Certainly shouldn't be used on anything that is still running on the OMP injecting crankcase oil, that buildup would scare me.


As far as whether or not it actually works as advertised, it does appear to. The comments about long term results are very valid though.

Yeah I would love to know exactly what was in it. I tend to trust Motoiq but you never know, they may have sold out.

Sand has sharp edges. If these ceramic ***** are micro-spheres, you wouldn't get the scaring that you would with sand or other contaminates.

These oil additives are getting quite the push lately huh...

 

They always do when the price of gas goes up. 4 years ago, the average price of gas (in the US) was $1.70/gal.

 

Yeah well at $50.00 for 10oz it's not a deal People who would use it are obviously not worried about gas prices. I think I'll save my $50.00 and buy some more Mobil1.

Additive companies have sold their additive package to oil companies many times in the past.

Syntec comes to mind.

I'll let the majors do the R & D, especially since it'll be hard to IMPROVE 0w40.

It really isn't that bad depending on the car you use it in, probably not the best idea in a rotary. If you are using synthetic and don't change the oil for 7500-10k miles then it could come close to paying for itself. If it actually gives you even a single more mile per gallon because of less friction then it could easily equal up to a tank of gas over all those miles. Then you get all the other supposed benefits in addition to the mpg for free or $10-15 depending how much gas you saved.
