Anyone have problems getting their 8 into reverse? Mine has been fine until today,
it has 9500 on it and no abuse. I have to push really hard to get it to work.

if youre talking about that nasty whizzing sound then yes, many of us have experienced it...

seems to me that if youre extra careful putting it in, it wont require so much effort after a few sucessful engagements

 

Going to synthetic (Red Line) trans fluid cured my "hard to get into reverse" problem.

 

1st gear roll about and inch stop and slide to reverse ive had this problem.. only thing that seems to work.. only thing people think you're retarted.. im in a parking spot and my family yells WATCH OUT YOURE MOVING FORWARD... um thanks i know hence me putting it in first gear... friggen back seat drivers..

 

Yeah, it doesn't like reverse. Just don't force it or you will bend the shifter fork and you'll be... um, forked. I just slowly let the clutch out at the very top until I feel the pressure let go. Then your good to go. Mine has 31000 trouble free miles on it now.
