Renesis DriveTrain Swap

Renesis DriveTrain Swap
So I want to put a drivetrain from an 8 in another car, if I buy an Engine with harness, the 6 speed tranny, driveshaft, differential and put that in another car, what other electrical components will I need, ECU, to make the engine work? Are there any security features that will not allow the engine to work in another car? Am I going to HAVE TO get a Stand Alone ECU to run this setup? A list of everything I will need to make this project work from a donor Rx8 vehicle would be greatly appreciated guys.

I glanced at the topic and see that the guy lives in Tampa FL, that's cool I live in Orlando FL my friends. The Swap would be for my 89 Mitsu. Starion / Conquest I had a revelation and decided to put a Renesis engine and that beautiful 6 speed tranny in there along with the driveshaft and differential making it practically the whole drivetrain.. I had a 79 Rx7 sometime over a decade ago and always loved the wankel rotary engine, and the 8's Reni is the newest technology in Rotaries and has plenty parts and resources very readily available..

It depends on what side the exhaust is, you will most likely need custom headers.
The stock ecu, especially with a tune, will handle all of this.
The drive shaft won't probably be reusable. A custom length one will be cheap though
If you're willing to keep the interior stock and not swap the dashboard maybe a standalone is the ideal choice, the only problem being the price.

I think the stock Dash Cluster should be used as well, even the electronic speedometer should work with the Rx-8 Power Train, don't even have to cut the driveshaft it will match in lenght to the LSD, motor and tranny mounts will be fabricated welded accordingly.
