removing the wiring harness from the cabin help needed for do's and don'ts

I am about to remove/cut the wiring harness in my JDM spec RHD Type S Rx8 which I am turning into a race car.

All I am keeping is the ABS sensor wires, rear screen demister wires, fuel tank pump/sensors and the rear lights. (and may be the sensor forthe ESP)

The rest of the wires I plan to remove.

I have so far unplugged everything from the boot/cabin thatI plan to discard except the ESP. I have also unplugged the loom form thedrivers side foot well (one large plug)

The only warning lights I get is the airbag which I am not concerned about.

Can any one tell me is there any wires that need to be leftuncut or should it be fine to remove the loom as I have described?

Is it ok to remove all the airbag/ seat belt tensioners and SAS control box or will it cause the car to go into limp home mode or somethingsimilar. (i.e. car not drive correctly or make power)

My plan is to cut the wires in the passengers side foot wellas this is what I was told by another guy that built a car to the same spec.

If any one has done something similar or know any issues I wil lhave can you please warn me?

nycgps what exactly is a EMS? What is in the cabin i.e. AV system, air bag/ sea belt sensors that will stop the car for running?

Currently I have everything unplugges with the harness sitting in the middle of he floor and the car still drives (well in and out of my garage)

That's the reason.
