which testpipe is better? rx7store or B&B?

does anyone know which testpipe gives a better low end torque? I'm currently looking at both rx7store version testpipe vs B&B testpipe...their different is that rx7store's is 3" while B&B is 2.5"...in compare of pricewise....rx7store's sells theirs alot cheaper.........wonder if anyone know more detail about them

also wonder if either of the testpipe will end up shooting flames with the stock exhaust system...if so...which one tends to shoot more? :P

that's a good question. Remember that the Cat Back exhaust can be the point at which restrictions occurs. The exhaust package is an overall system in which any point can cause restriction in exhaust velocity and affect torque.

appear that not too many people have the rx7store's version testpipe...I read a few review on the B&B version and everyone seems to like it.....but B&B also cost alot more...I'm just thinking....is only a pipe right??how big of a different can it get??...but the 3" vs 2.5" is bothering me enough to want to find the answer

RX7store midpipe

Yeh, I have the RX7store midpipe with resonator with Hymee exhaust. The sound is perfect. Just the right amount of loudness and it is actually not loud at all while crusing. It has just the right amount of sound when you open it up. No resonance and not loud inside the car at all. I lined my trunk, under rear seats and heat shield with dynamat extreme so this may help with lessening the sound inside the car.

RX7store midpipe is 3" in dia where the resonator is but it narrow down to 2.5" at the connection to the intermedite pipe. The quality of the weld is not great but there is no leak. It was night and day compare to weld on Hymee exhaust. The unit is pretty light...around 10 lbs compare to much heavier for stock CAT midpipe. And you will need a hanger as it will vibrate enough and come in contact with the brace at the center of the car. I have midas put a hanger on it for $80 and the problem went away. As for the flow i don't t hink it matter much at all since it is an NA engine and 2.5" is plenty. You will end up losing low end torque if you go too big. With 2.5" I feel that it doesn't low end torque and it pulls real good at high rpm, much better than with the stock CAT. Price is also not too expensive at $280.

I highly recommend midpipe with resonator. It will help muffled sound and it will make your exhaust sound much better. Not raspy (also depend on what exhaust you get. Racing beat/Hymee sound great with midpipe since they are not too loud to begin with. Add midpipe w/resonance and it just get a bit louder. It is cop friendly.)

Prior to hymee exhaust I have corksport exhaust and this set up is way too loud. I got pulled over 3 times for loud exhaust...probably well over 110 dB outside the car during full acceleration. Sound was awesome but it is just too loud for daily driving. However, this exhaust sound perfect with stock CAT.

Hope this help.

i had the billy boat test pipe. it was nice because of the backpressure that gave me some backpressure.
now i have the agency power catless midpipe with resonator and ihave to tell you that it is HELLA loud. if you dont mind having a loudass ride, then go for the 3". if you want something that isn't too loud, go with the billy boat. look around, i think i bought mine for about $260 brand new. forget what website tho.

my recommendation, go for the billy boat. its not even that much more expensive. plus, its b&b. and you'll like it.

I wonder...does anyone know if the resonator kill off the chance of shooting some flames at the exhaust tip? call me silly but I somewhat kinda want to make it shoot some flames when I want to rev it high :P

i don't think that any of the O2 foolers work. The CEL will not hinder engine performance, but will keep you from knowing if there are more serious codes that need attention.

the rx7store is the one i have with the MS dual catback, the pipe is VERY well constructed.
its is EXTREAMLY LOUD!!!!!!!!

when driving regularly i set car alarms off

when flooring it, its like a nascar

if you floor it through a tunnel every one in a 3 block radious will be bleeding out there as$, because they were indeed just a$s raped.
