Removing SSV & VDI Solenoids for Testing
I want to test my ssv and vdi solenoids, I know they are packed under the UIM near the firewall and its a tight fit but is it possible to remove them without removing the UIM?
If its not possible and the UIM needs to be removed are any gaskets or o-rings needed to be replaced when putting the UIM back on?

If either of them was not working, you would be getting a CEL. That said, if you apply vacuum to their actuator capsules, you should be able to verify that the actuators are moving freely without removing anything (if I recall correctly - I need to go out and look at my engine).

I feel like im losing power just like him in the same rpm range and its only after 15 minutes of driving, i have a feeling my ssv solenoid is sticking like his was.
Looks like UIM needs to come off, but can I just re-use all the o-rings? I want to be prepared
