Well, after going to ACT web site to find the info for RX8, it give me part #RB600 for the release bearing for the 2004 RX8. I ordered the part and guess what, it's the wrong one. Should of pay attention to the "Pull Type" description. Anyway, after crossing referencing to Koyo part #CBU543625J, I found out the ACT part RB091 (SKU83705500407) might be the correct one.

This is the disassembled one (actually it got pop out when I pulled it off, I think it still be ok for another 10k mile before it give out, but I want to replace it as I will hit the track on and off)


Can anyone verify before I attempt make another purchase/exchange? And the cost difference are half the price, so I may got two in exchange. If not, I might have to order the OEM one.

the kit that I brought came with OEM bearing.

I think all kits comes with OEM bearing. so just use oem bearing, return yours. its 30 something bucks I think (OEM)

Yep, the ACT kit I got came with the OEM one as well.

This is the ACT RB091 cost me $35.21 arrived today. It's a different design and is the correct replacement:

By comparison side by side, measurement, and dimension, etc. they are the same size. I will find out if it'll be a perfect fit by this Saturday when I put them together. Hopefully it'll be a better design and by the look of thing, the metal seemed thicker compared to the OEM, so I hope this won't go before the disc give in.

Just don't want to run into this OEM experience again (This is from the OEM pressure plate, btw. Maybe I just got a bad apple):
