rear quarter panel removal

I was wondering if there are instructions on how to take off and install a rear quarter panel? It isn't provided in the service manual that I downloaded from here before. Is the manual incomplete or are there instructions somewhere else?

They need to be cut off and re-welded...not a DIY thing unless you have the tools

ohhhh ouch. alright thanks!!

I was hoping I could just take off the doors, front fender, etc. and be able to take the whole side off and put a new piece on.

unibody much?

the collision manual has the procedure. I don't see how they can get it as strong as it used to be... they do add some small additional bracing at the new joints, if i remember correctly.

I figure it adds a little weight but probably gets the strength back to some similar level.

I always wondered how that would factor into b-stock racing, could you go out an 'repair' what ain't broke to get additional welds/stiffening? or are 'repaired' cars not allowed? It is probably a moot point for this level, anyway - but the mind, it does wander.
