rate my plugs

Hi,

Just replaced my leads and plugs after taking the car in for a service and being told they are gone.

They look pretty gone to me, but what I find hard to believe is that they would wear out so much after only 3k miles.

Arnold Clark stated that they would change them before I bought the car.

Anyone venture an opinion on the condition of them and whether they could look like this so quickly? In fairness, I do a fair bit of short journeys.

That is not a 3K plug...odds are that they are the plugs they were supposed to change.

Even with crappy town driving that is at least a 20K plug

Thanks for the reply.

I'm going to email Arnold Clark with the photos to complain.

I called their service dept to complain, but they insisted that the plugs had been changed when purchased 3k ago and wouldn't take the statement from Machargs that the plugs were definitely older and corroded/burn out.

Those look a little worse than my plugs were at almost 30k miles.

Those would be original plugs then.....makes sense 27K. I guess you have to see how much hassle with the dealer is worth for $80 worth of plugs
