is one better than the other for an 8?
which tends to be the more popular buy for rx8 owners?

They are both "cold air" intakes if you are comparing the Racing Beat REVi with ram duct and the AEM CAI. I would say that both offer pros and cons. It's up to you what you want to see under the bonnet I guess.
