Question about flash

It's probably a Noob question, but I searched and came up with nothing.

I spoke with the dealer that services my 8 a few minutes ago, as he was just checking up on some minor warranty work that was performed last week. I asked him about the last time that my software was updated, and he told me that I did not need new software, and that the software on my car was current. The date of the update was June 4, 2004. Can anyone tell me what flash I'm running?

Thanks a ton for any help that you can give me. If this information is readily available, sorry in advance.

If I were you, I'd ask the deal for a flash update. There is very little reason other then laziness (or they are too busy to spare the WDS time.)

June 4th '04 sounds like the M update to me. They are on "P" now.. The main change on the "P" update is to raise the RPMs before the A/C system cuts out. (Some people have reported better fuel mileage and performance on the N and P updates, compared to the M.)

June 04 is the L flash.

I was one of the first to get the M flash on July 4th.
