Proper rotary etiquette

just need a few pointers for maintaining and operating my new rotary engine car...

whats best way to break it in, and for how many miles?
and how do i go about turning the car on/off properly so it doesn't flood..?
anything else i need to know?

is it normal for a rotary engine to generate so much heat?

Question 1: goto racingbeat.com, they have a recommended break-in procedure
Question 2: goto owner's manual, mine's in the car or I'd tell you what page.
Question 3: spend alot of time reading these forums, lots of good info, but #1 is: do not baby the car constantly, hit redline at least once per drive and you'll have a happy engine with no carbon buildup.
Question 4: yes, you're doing 3x(approximately) the work in a package that's half as big.

Don't worry too much. Even the owners' manual says it's not a big deal, but offers some recommendations.

a) don't turn it off until it's warmed up
b) If you ignore (a), then hold the revs to 4000 for 10 seconds and turn the key off while it's still at 4000. This helps purge any raw fuel.

insufficient data.

Nah, you're just a newbie here that's why they're easy on you. Don't get in the habit though or you'll hear it from people later. :D :D :D

talking like that will get you plenty of enemys. These questions are really rotary 101 and has been covered over amillion times. And yes there are known to run hotter than piston engines. And by doing the breakin procedure properly can increase engine life by alot.
