problem with 4th gear

okay i have this problem anytime i launch the car in first gear to 9k rpms and shift through the gears and proceed to 4th i always hear a slight noise like its grinding it goes in just about the same as the other gears i can just hear this noise.

if i wait a bit it won't make it or if i shift real slow and let the rpms drop a lot it won't make it either.

Launching is bad, so if you wanted to avoid further problems stop doing that. Although I am no expert the grind sounds like you Syncros are not keeping up with your shift. Next time you do it, be a little more deliberate with your motions while you shift.

Your 3-4 shift fork may be bent. I had the same problem. When in 3rd, I could not shift into 4th at all over 6K RPM's. It would just grind horribly. Under 6K it would shift every time.
