For ppl who have reached 10k mi

My dealer told me when he sold me the car that u get more power after u go over the 10k mi mark. As mine was only a recent order i was wondering if nebody who ordered an rx8 early and has kept it stock powertrain has hit 10k mi and can tell if there is a noticable difference in the power of the 8, or if the dealer was just bs-ing me.

Thx, i wanted 2 belive him but i just couldn't. The same dealer also told me that the revving it for a min after a less then 5min drive increases the life of the engine because of some engine oil lubrication thing, so he just may b a BS machine, i haven't heard nething like that mentioned on here when it comes 2 revving it after a short drive. I would not return the car neway, i like it 2 much.

first its 5 ... then its 10.. then it's 15.. and so on... you never know though... cause the 93-95 RX-7 had some sort of switch at 20K miles... so who knows its may be true.. or just a can of BS.

the ECU thing is a complete crock from what we know.

revving your engine after a short drive (before the eneigne warms up) can help you avoid accidental flooding while the engine is still in cold-startup mode.

please search, dealers are full of the same BS stories it seems.
