Power steering died, then came back after shut down and restart
Anyone else have this happen to them? I was autocrossing it yesterday and 5 seconds into the last run, the power steering quit, with the steering light blinking. No other lights came on however. I don't have DSC/Traction control on the car. After I limped back to the grid. I shut the car off and then immediately turned it back on and the power steering had returned. So far, last night and this morning it continues to work. I did hit a couple cones on previous runs, and I may have hit one after the steering went out, but I don't think I hit one before it went (hard to say though, it all happens very quickly). Can anyone guess what may have happened and if I should worry about it?

Edit: BTW, which light specifically illuminated?

common for electric steering; it faulted and then reset itself after you shutdown and restarted
just note it and otherwise don't be overly concerned unless it continues to happen, I wouldn't tell the dealer it happened at the autox though

It says in the manual that if the power steering is "overloaded" it will shut off and the steering light will illuminate.
Autocrassing could certainly heavily tax the steering system... maybe it just happened to overload it (bashing cones may have put some additional stress on the system also, I would presume). The manaul also states that restarteing the car should bring the power steering system back online (We have an electric power steering system, remember)
