hey guys,
Lately I have noticed my car has some strange issues. (2004 6mt)
If I floor it from low revs, it doesnt pull as hard as it normally does....there is a noticeable lack of power until around 6500-7000 rpm when it kicks back into life and has great pull like it normally does.
It does it in every gear and only seems to happen after driving for a while.
I took it to mazda due to the engine light being on, they said there was a fault code with the "ssv solenoid valve" but they cleared it and said if the light comes back on it needs to be replaced. The light came on today so I will get it replaced but Im hoping this could be the cause of my lack of power problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

there's a diy in the diy forum on how to remove the SSV.
Instead of spending A LOT of money on a replacement just clean it and vacuum test it
