Potential problems with the engine
I'm an owner of an RX-8 bought last september. The car has 2500 miles and lately I've noticed a gray "cream" sticked on the oil stick. I took it to Mazda dealer and the first reaction was "very bad" i.e. "we may have to replace the engine". I left the car and in the afternoon I was contacted again that I can come and pick up the car since "its nothing, only condensation". I must say that even the mechanic from Mazda wasnt convinced of this answer but told me "this is what Mazda corporation technitians told me". They replaced the oil and gave me a very good service. Still, I drove few miles and already I see again the gray "cream" stick on the oil stick...
Although my car is under warranty and I'm not a technitian I believe that the answer I got does not make sense. Condensation of what?.. oil?
I've checked the cap of the oil and does not have nothing but it concerns me that with already a new car I see these type of things. Since its a rotary engine does this makes sense?
Does anybody found the same?
I will appreciate very much your comments on this regard.
Sincerely,
EliJ

It has been discussed in several threads already. Yes it is condensation.
Do a search for "milky" it will bring up several threads,

On short drived, the oil temp doesn't get high enough to boil-off the condensation, so it rises up into the dipstick tube as liquid water.

If you are still concerned then keep an eye on your coolant level. It's not going down is it? Now you know that the water (cream) is just condensation, not coming from the cooling system.
