Anyway, what the heck is this part I found in my glovebox?

It mounts under the drivers side seat. There is already a screw under there. It holds the floormat in place.

It's also useful for extracting Boy Scouts from horses' hooves. :p

I thought it was a back scratcher.

Also from "Benny Hill"

What's up on the road? A head?

yes attached in its proper place under the drivers seat with the peg sticking up thru the whole in the flooar mat, holding it in place. if it's not ther go yell at your dealership. it should have been installed during PDI.

Mine was installed but the dealer forgot to push the screw into the plastic fastener far enough to secure it. I found mine attached to my very mobile floor mat and the fastener rolling around under the seat.

I had to return to have mine installed (as both it and my wheel locks weren't done in PDI). The service dept. swore it was in the glove box, but I know for a fact my glove box was empty prior to taking it back. The only items that were there were the manuals and my wheel locks. Guy tells me afterward, "Yeah, we found it in there." Sure thing, buddy.

Yup, these things have a way to come back to haunt the forums. Many early adoptors had these missing, seems the "carpet hook" got tossed during PDI because they didn't know what to do with it! I had them order the hook and install it, much happier with the mat keeping still, "down boy!".
