Poor Starting
The place I work is pretty exposed and there's always a strong wind coming from the West. Where I get to park my 8 is usually facing east, with the wind behind. I have noticed that when I try to start the car to go home on an evening it takes a long time to fire up - usually 10 (ish) seconds, ands also a bit of smoke from the exhausts which doesn't seem right. Over a period of time however, I have noticed that if I face tha car into the wind, I don't have a problem starting the car on an evening. Now I know this sounds stupid, and I dont have any technical knowledge of cars and the like but wondered if anyone could shed any light n this. I have experimented with this over the last three months (the time I've had my 8) and it definitely does take longer to start if it's had the wind blowing up it's as* all day.
Have 2,500 mi on the car now and love everything about it. Have been lurking here for a while and appreciate all the good stuff you guy's put in here.

haha - maybe I should get the 8 some thermal's..hhhmmmmm, wonder if I can get the right colour? lol!
The wind is pretty constant at the back end - not sure how many MPH is blows through at but it is relentless.
Came up with a solution anyway....point the car into the wind...bet you guy's think I'm nuts...oh well, join the club, so does m wife!
