Oil pan TSB question

I was at the dealer today getting the dreaded missing mat hook installed. I showed him a copy of the oil pan TSB and I have the oil pan and sealent on order, no questions asked.

That low oil light is a nuisance. I just returned from a trip to Atlanta from KC. On both legs of the trip that damn light kept coming on. It was the only drawback to my wonderful drive. The RX-8 hangled awesome on the open road.
I left a message with my delaership about the TSB and my displeasure with the oil light. Given the other complaints about the light and the 3 blown motors that they have seen, I will be taking it in on Saturday.
The dealer also mentioned that a representive from Mazda was making rounds of all MAZDA dealerships yesterday to talk about the oil light issue and the new recommendations on checking the oil level. I was told to check the oil level every 1000 miles and adda quart of oil every 2500 miles.
