Oil "cream" concern

I checked my oil today to find a strange creamy goo surrounding the dipstick rim and mixing with the oil. My level seems ok, but the mystery substance concerns me. Would somebody be able to shed some light on this stuff and either put my mind at ease or let me know if I should be rushing it in for service?
Thanks

Oil Goo

The creamy goo on your dipstick is totally normal for any internal combustion engine, not just your RX8. My RX8 does it, as did my previous Jeep V8 and the previous VW. It is essentially due to either cold weather or because your journeys are not allowing the engine to fully warm up. There haave been ten or twenty threads on this subject. and all say the same thing - don`t worry about it, it is normal for an engine and it won`t do any harm.
