My O2 sensor is gone... but the part can't come in for another 2 weeks due to the x-mas holidays. Will I damage anything(especially because it is a rotary) if I drive around with it until I get the new one? And can someone explain what the sensor does... thanks!!

 

Which sensor is it...there are 2

One won't do much...the other will make the car run like crap

 

I am engine challenged, so I don't know which sensor it is... but my car doesn't run like crap, so by the power of deduction...

The dealership had told me if I drive it too much without the sensor, I could burn out the converter.
