No power steering and engine stalling when stopping.

I recently installed a megan catless race pipe on my rx8 and megan coil overs. My friend lowered my car too much and i bottomed out. I raised it up and it was still running fine just check engine light from the midpipe.

A few days ago i was driving to school and the power steering went out on me. I pulled to the side of the road turned it off then back on and it was working.

After class that day i get in my car and the power steering light never went off when i cranked it and the power steering isnt working.

So far i have checked the fuse cleaned the harness and reset my ecu and it still doesnt work

My car has also been stalling when i come to a stop. I replaced the alternator and the battery is still new but it still stalls.

Any help would be great i ordered a new power steering harness and plan to let mazda dealership try to diagnose the problem this week.

take out the intake box and tray see if the PS connectors are soaked in coolant coming out of the overflow tube RIGHT above them.
need more details about stalling issue.

i already did that and cleaned them. i ordered a new harness hopefully it will fix it.

as for the stalling problem i have no clue what could be causing it. before my new alternator it would start and immediately stall. since the alternator i drove it to work and it stalled many times on the way there almost every time pushed the brakes. when i was driving it home i had the eps fuse removed and it did not stall once even when it was still cold. i even turned it off and put the fuse back in and it did not stall.

i am taking it to a shop monday and see if they can scan it and get any trouble codes.

mind u, the EPS draws a huge amount of energy, especially when it's ABOUT TO DIE.

u might wanna check ur EPS motor. Replacement is not bad ... ok, it's a bitch to do

stalling could be a lot of things, but if i were u, i will check the engnie for compression.
