Used 5w-20 until nycgps got in my head(starting doing 5w-30 dino around 23k). Oil changed every 2500-3000 mi. 4-6 oz premix per tank, 93 shell or sunoco gasoline. Dealer said they checked cat and it looked good. Was flooded once by previous owner. I still don't think I'm going to get the new motor mounts I've been looking for. Before the latest flash, I would get misfires in the high rpms which would go away after I shut the car down then turned back on. Started right up when cold, and usually when hot, sometimes it would take 8-10 cranks to start when hot, but usually it was 2-3 before it was going. Lately I couldn't chirp second gear if I tried, and silly me I thought my potenzas rocked? I dyno'd at 175 hp 125 tq in May.

I,m still curious what was your "OIL consumption". Did you have to add oil before a oil change?

Oil consumption was normal. I topped off on each fillup.

A follow up:

I originally complained of a rough idle and weakness after long drives/warm weather. The tech did the power loss TSB, specifically the engine voltage test.

For those keeping score:

BARO: 1.82
IDLE: 3.94

Those numbers caused them to fail and replace my engine.

Man i beat the crap out of my car.. i ran 5w-20 until 25-28K Miles no problems at all.... Ive never presmixed and im still running strong.. something else is happeneing here.. then again I did alwasy keep up with the latest flashes...

only issue is a minor vibration at idle but that because of my lightweight flywheel

Are you talking in reference to the oil weight?

I put 70K on the original engine running dealer's dino 5W-20, engine was replaced due to low compression (and vacuum readings). I bounced off the rev limiter on a regular basis, including the day that the car was driven to the dealership for engine replacement, and I did not experience stationary bearing failure or any kind of unusual vibration or anything like that. My symptoms were stumbley idle, lowered gas mileage and lack of low-end power.
