Need new coils/plugs/wires... deal on ebay, really a deal?
So after visiting my local dealer, they wanted an exorbitant amount of money to replace my plugs, coils and wires. I checked online, and I found the following auction. My concern is that the coils may not be of the same quality as factory.

Has anyone purchased a similar set online, and if so, how is the quality?
thanks all,
Chris

Better deals can be had. Search through the vendor threads or call NAPA, Advance Auto Parts, etc. For around $250.00 you can get plugs, coils, and wires.

If you actually read my post, my main concern was regarding quality, not price. No need to be an elitist *****.
Everyone else, thanks for your assistance. I just ended up buying them from a local parts store.

I have found that quality wise, the stock mazda coils are terrible. Mine shorted out and I had to replace them. I have under 60k miles on the car too. Normal stock coils will give you about 30k miles, however if you buy different coils to replace them they should last quite longer. Hope this helps, blessings on you and your 8!

IIRC, all stock RX8 coils are made by the same factory in Japan. Maybe earlier models weren't as good, I know they've had a couple of revisions. Essentially there isn't a difference between the dealer part & an off the shelf one from an auto shop, besides price.
Best bet is to go with a BHR kit if you want great coils. I would have done that myself, but my RX8 is still under the engine core warranty, and IF I ever have a problem, the ignition is one less thing for them to blame. Once warranty is over, I'm buying a BHR kit.
